Been drawing cats from my book, “The Cat Fanciers’ Association Cat Encyclopedia” while it is too cold to go zoo sketching. Tonight I took one of my many drawings and experimented with it in Illustrator for the linework, then photoshop for the coloring/textures.

Gestures I really need to work on my shorthand for hands, feet, and faces. Long poses I am pleased I am able to get some decent faces in now though! Nothing expressionate yet - that is the next step!

I have FINALLY finished this 2′ poster for my brother for xmas! It’s his 2 favorite Doctor Whos! (from the British Sci-Fi) I tried lots of new things with this image, 2 being VECTOR LINEART and using MANY MANY textures!

I know there are still things to improve upon, but hopefully this picture is an improvement from past illustrations. ^_^

Hey all! Wow, sorry about not posting in so long! Holidays do keep me busy! However, I did have time to do some arts during the season!
First, a bit of a Christmas card to anyone to visits me here! Unfortunatly, the design of this card is off (Buttercup’s tail is going the WRONG WAY) but I only realized that at a point where it would be too much of a hassle to fix it… ah well, next time.

My latest animation! Although I did it in Flash, I still did not utilize Flash symbols or the library, which are things I really need to learn. But for now, I was focusing on matching a pre-designed character and making my animations more LOOSE.
The character is Danny from the animated film: “Cat’s Don’t Dance.” It is funny I should pick that movie, since in a way Danny’s struggle to achieve fame is how I feel trying to break into the industry!

Went to a play last night, put on by my little home town. It was very cute and enjoyable! Of course I was sketching during it - not that any of these are amazing but I thought I’d post them to keep track of my progression…. AAANNNNDDDD still working in PEN!!! (save for the one I spent more time on, bottom right. ^_^*)
